    I love chocolate too. The darker the better. I have some 99% that I treat myself to occasionally, just a little piece to melt on the tongue.

    Instead of chocolate cake, we would have had a whole table full of chocolate volcanoes! YUMMY (with a scoop [or two] of vanilla bean ice cream) double yummy!

    It’s the last day of Taurus.
    I was also born in a Year of the Dragon.
    Not sure what that means? Bull-dragon?

    One thing to be grateful of is being born on May 20th and not April 20th.
    That would suck.

  19. I had a birthday, but it was in St. Louis, (South of Ferguson,) so not much to celebrate. Recent anniversaries of my birthday have been more festivus and less bloody.

  28. Happy bday to both CC and Loco. Only special ppl were born on 5/20. My kind, sweet, classy mother would’ve turned 85 today.

    OTOH, older sis bday is 5/24, and just found out she has Type2 diabetes. I usually ship homemade treats and had it all planned out… til last Thursday.
    So the hustle was a variety of diabetic muffins/cookies. I can’t bring myself to taste them before mailing tomorrow.

    BUT YOU’RE IN LUCK! I baked just enough to divvy up these gluten free, sugar free, low carb, low fat treats and send to one of you!
    Don’t be shy Cowgirl or Loco. Which one’s it gonna be?

  29. Mmmmm chocolate cake.

    Our family used to go to a particular restaurant, mostly for their chocolate cake. Since they would only have a couple of slices out, when we arrived we would tell them to take more out so they would be defrosted by the time we were ready for them.
    Then the restaurant changed and the cake went away 🙁 But we eventually found the bakery that made the cakes (La Mousse, in West L.A.), and now we buy a whole cake once a year for mom and dad’s birthdays which yields several slices for mom, dad, me, and perhaps a couple for the neighbors.

    What am I doing today?
    I ran a 5K in the heat and then took a nap.
    After coffee I plan to hit some Anejo Kah Tequila.
    Sunday is my favorite day of the week anyway.
