Incredible. Cajun, country, grunge, mountain and the ozarks. Would make an excellent movie soundtrack.

We had a thread about Glen Campbell the other day, someone remarked he couldn’t read music.
I grew up wanting to be a musician, lessons, school, garage bands, swing bands, marching band, orchestra, the works.
I could read music, just didn’t have the necessary talent, dream all you want, if God didn’t bless you, that’s it.
Turned out to be a pretty good left handed aerospace engineer though.
I was at a conference once, all engineers, looking around the room at people taking notes, was amazed at the number of left-handed people.
Leonardo was a lefty.
Don’t fight what God intended.

I’m left handed but I’d give my right arm to be ambidextrous.

In case anyone is interested, the instrument is not a guitar but a weissenborn, often played like a lap steel guitar or squareneck dobro/resonator in an open key, frequently D.

i traveled the world decades ago. In every “ritzy” Bar in the Europe and Japan within an hour you will hears songs by 2 Americans. 1. Elvis – himself. a song written by a man who could not rad or write music, bu wrote more top 10 songs than any other writer. Most likely Tony Bennet. hank would play the song and a band member would write the notes!
BTW I went in bars to hear American singers!

I wouldn’t treat my expensive instrument that way. It looked like he was about to punch right through it.
By the way – Are we sure Curt Cobain killed himself? Just asking for Jeffrey Epstein…

Always had a thing for slide guitar. Grew up listening to “Green Valley Jamboree” out of Kalamazoo, Michigan.
