Hedge funds have bet billions of dollars against Donald Trump’s America amid fears of a market crash.
Data from Goldman Sachs show there has been a surge in “short” bets against US stocks, meaning traders will make money when they fall in value, in a sign of growing concerns about the market.
In January, investors have placed 10 times more bets on US stocks falling than equivalent bets that shares in leading American companies would rise, the investment bank said. It suggests many traders are sitting on huge profits from the chaos earlier this week, when shares in big tech stocks slumped following a panic over the success of rival Chinese AI DeepSeek.

A few things to keep in mind;
The market does not like uncertainty, Trump will (temporarily) bring that.
The US market is THE most robust dynamic market on the planet.
The US market is frothy, i.e. overpriced by historical standards.
Graveyards are littered with hedge fund guys betting against the market.
Bear markets, when viewed properly and long-term, are both healthy and normal.
Market timing is impossible, if you regularly contribute to a regiment vehicle, don’t stop.
Lastly, I envision a super-charged economy with the markets following close behind, given TYrump’s America First agenda, which he is implementing at break-neck speed.
I made a bad investment, back in 2016. I was banking on volatility. On the night of the election, after we all heard that Trump won, volatility shot up overnight. I was eager to clear my investment, waiting for the market to open on Wednesday… and by the time the market opened there was no volatility.
I sat on my church’s foundation, which stewarded million$ of contributions to a variety of funds for the church to use. We had quarterly meetings with our Merrill representatives to hear how our investments were doing, and to make any necessary changes. The 3 years (prior to covid, obviously) of Trump’s first term were remarkably stable, historically stable to a degree never seen before.
So Trump brings comfort and stability. However, this term is clearly already very different as Trump roils the bureaucratic waters. There may be some fear for a couple of months – but it is very clear that the economy is going to take off like a rocket this year. And while the stock market operates as much on psychology as on results, the results will become clear very quickly.
Simply put, the stock market mainly operates on Confidence.
Trump brings confidence.
Soros.
Soros.

Follow the money and you’ll see it flow to the likes of pelosi.
Or are these hedge funds attempting to short circuit any benefits from Trump’s efforts by causing uncertainty??
I wouldn’t pay the least bit of attention to what these so-called investors say or do. They are part of the deep state, and Trump is a threat to them as well. Trump is upsetting their gravy train. Multi-national corporations, and the investment firms who are their majority shareholders – Blackrock, Vanguard, State Street and others – are the only constituents that politicians listen to. In their hubris, arrogance, greed and lust for power, they are willing to bet against the market and instill fear and panic, in order to take back control. They hate you and me and have no idea how powerful this MAGA movement is. FUCKem, I hope they lose their asses in this investment power play.
Any slip and the decline will be pushed down that much further by all the betting against the market. I would hope lifting the heavy hand of government off the economy is going to create a lot of opportunity for innovative corporations to take on the established giants. Of course, they’re not going to like it.

Pelosi is a piker, and a grifter. She’s just sucking on the tit of her corporate donors. Without them she would be nothing – just another whore selling herself out to whoever she thought could advance her personal desires. I despise her and others like her who have poisoned our country with their lust for power and wealth.
