Confirming reports of a “potential vulnerability,” Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced swift action against the Obama administration system that exposed military data to “cheap Chinese labor.”
The same week that former President Barack Obama was working to dispel divorce rumors, his administration’s alleged infidelity to the American people was getting brought to light. In addition to criminal referrals for officials said to have crafted intelligence to advance the Russia collusion hoax, Hegseth confirmed a “legacy system” from the administration had allowed the U.S. military to use Chinese-based cloud services.
In an announcement that prompted the response “WTF” and “Who let this happen in the first place!?!” Hegseth explained, “Earlier this week, we were alerted to a potential vulnerability in our DoD computer systems and we’ve been checking into it ever since.” more here

Having worked in “cloud computing”… I can confirm there are “escorts” and “subject-matter-experts”, and they apparently wind up in situations where there are guards with guns, hazard tape on the floor, and orders regarding footing & fingers. My particular company required US Citizen status for all USGov work. I actually got force-ably transferred out because they hired someone with my skill set and a TS clearance. But… At my (former) company, no non-citizen status employee was allowed to work on even the lower-security connected realms. The TS stuff was air-gapped, not connected to the Internet in any way, and had massive review barriers to code import. It took months to ship in routine patches.
Having said that… Cloud computing is just renting someone else’s computer. At a TS scale it’s renting someone else’s computer and trusting they meet the security minutiae of the contract… M$ is famous for cuckolding customers here…

No I was a civilian all along… And understand… The force-able transfer left a mark… But as adversarial as my departure was, they never did what M$ appears to have done. To my knowledge, they really only used US citizens. Upstream code authorship… Yea, no. H1B’s and the like wrote the code. So the security hole is still there, just layers removed.
