In what can be called a macabre, if not surreal action, a Spanish judge has ordered the remains of Salvador Dali be exhumed in order to settle a paternity suit against the artist’s estate.

To label him as just another weirdo artist would, to me, be like saying that water is wet.
That’s gotta be one tough semen sample to extract….
Sure would suck if some grave robbers got there first.
They will probably settle for bone marrow and mitochondrial DNA?
@TSUNAMI – Dalí might look like just another weirdo artist, but he did a large number of religious paintings, many of which are quite beautiful, such as Assumption of the Virgin – Queen of Heaven, and his Crucifixion.
Uncle Al, Thanks. I never looked for his work past the first couple of paintings that I disliked. Now I know I jumped to wrong conclusions.

would you have any idea what is symbolized by the rectangular object just beneath Christ on the Cross in the painting Assumption of the Virgin – Queen of Heaven?
BTW= Dali hated bureaucrats.

@Plain Jane – Dalí is playing with perspective. Once you see the cloth covered altar with two candlesticks and a cross you’ll always see it!

@RADIOATIONMAN/HAM/CB/AM/FM/SSB – Thanks! I didn’t know about the ants. And I heartily recommend going to the Dalí museum if you’re in the region. It’s even worth a day trip from as far as Orlando if anyone is vacationing there.
Probably should start making plans to exhume Bill Clinton so his son can get in on the action.
