The Supreme Court will hear a pivotal case in October on sex, gender identity, and discrimination: R.G. and G.R. Harris Funeral Homes Inc. v. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. As both sides build their cases, numerous influential organizations and individuals have filed amicus (friend of the court) briefs to aid the members of the Supreme Court in their understanding on this topic.
One brief in particular stands out. It’s so powerful, it should not only persuade the Supreme Court but influence people on both sides of the transgender debate, particularly the mainstream media.
The brief examines the personal testimonies of the following people, all of whom identified as transgender at one point, then reverted to affirming their sex: Walt Heyer, Jamie Shupe, Linda Seiler, Hacsi Horvath, Clifton Francis Burleigh Jr., Laura Perry, Jeffrey Johnston, Jeffrey McCall, and Kathy Grace Duncan. While regular Federalist readers may be familiar with regular contributor Heyer, the other names may be unfamiliar. Yet their stories are just as powerful.
For starters, each of these people now believes, due to counseling, therapy, and personal experiences, that there is no such thing as gender fluidity or transgender. They now believe it is a fantasy many people try to make real.
The amicus brief also says, “Affirming the dysphoria in people suffering from gender identity issues as if they really were persons of the opposite sex only serves to lead those that are suffering with such issues away from finding the serenity and wholeness of being at peace with their bodies and identities. Forcing employers to affirm the denial of reality is not required by Title VII and is more likely to cause harm than good.”

Conservative: ‘My thesis is supported by tons of research, all of which I have made available. It represents, with statistical certainty, what is true.’
Liberal: ‘Psh whatever, you racist hater. You are stupid and wrong. Research? I don’t need research to know that.’
Related – this week in Dilbert is the ‘Inexperienced Employee’. I think he’s talking about AOC, or many of the other libs in the news these days. https://dilbert.com/strip/2019-08-28
As long as taxpayers do not foot the bill for their decisions, I could care less. Bed, lie in it.
xenomelia- the feeling that one or more limbs do not belong.
If you told me to come up with mental ailments, I would never had thought up that one.
Not to mention the disproportionate suicide rate for these people.
Why do I have the feeling that Chief Justice Roberts will betray us again? Boy, is he ever a wolf in sheeps clothing. I don’t trust him any farther than I can throw him.
“To really screw up, it takes a
computerSupreme Court.”Research! We don’t need no stinking Research! We don’t gots to show you no stinking Research! Just accept our facts.
trannys are screwed up and if the supremes endorse trannyism by forcing employers to accept them they are just as sick
I have a former nephew-in-law who “switched to the other team”. He divorced my niece and is “engaged” to another trans-person. Even though (s)he has left the family I still check up on his Facebook page – full of other trans people. (s)He has been admitted to a mental ward for hearing voices and wanting to end it all. It is incredible the amount of his trans friends opening up about suicide and hearing voices.

You’d *better* damn well care: the more legally-mandated “special privileges” degenerates receive, the worse this country becomes for ALL of us.
SCOTUS already proved they ere degenerates with the approval of gay marriage.
I personally think that a person has to hate themselves so much to want to switch their sex, identity, and name. In reality what they are doing is effectively killing themselves, but not physically do it immediately.
Fictional names for example purposes since it is my family:
Mark becomes Marcia-
We should make it so that Mark should be required to have a death certificate issued for him and then Marcia gets a birth certificate issued for her.
Marcia doesn’t get to keep anything that Mark had.
If Mark owned a home, he just lost it because Mark died.
For my family example:
Mark was married to Stephanie.
Through the divorce Mark had already began the transition to Marcia.
Stephanie went through hell to separate/sell the house, car, and everything else.
It would have been so much easier for her, both legally and emotionally, if Mark had gotten his death certificate so that Stephanie could have been free and clear of the hurdles that come with nasty divorces.
Make it difficult and painful for the person making the change so that they understand the reality of their decisions.
Mark is dead for all intents-and-purposes.
There were a lot of family issues for Mark, that Marcia still complains about.
If a death certificate had been issued then Marcia literally could say “I have no family”, emotionally that should have “alleviated” some of Marcias’ problems.
But no, Marcia won’t, and can’t, let go of the issues Mark grew up with so resorts to wanting to hurt themselves (intentionally used the plural there).
There is enough experience that we as a society know that they want to kill themselves so bad they’re willing to permanently cut themselves up. So let’s make it legal and formal and issue the death certificate.
At least I think it will go a long way to wake them up and realize how serious they should be taking it.
What person on the right believes that an evidence-based argument will influence the mainstream media? Someone who writes for the Federalist or ANY talking head on the right is naive and devoid of awareness to believe the media is not purposely organized to take down the U.S.
It is a mental disease plain and simple, everyone knows it, but not one single person is willing to advocate opening up the loony bins that good ole boy uncle Ronnie closed down in favor of “medicating” crazy people and releasing them to the public as a perk to Big Pharma.
What nobody likes to talk about is the FACT that crazy people are not very good about taking their addictive medications regularly and once off their meds, bad things happen.
Oh yeah? What does “Caitlyn” Jenner have to say about it?
@geoff – I don’t trust Roberts any further than RBG can throw him!
Wait – is RBG a Borg now?
Whut’s all this “People Who Used To Be Transgender” shit?
You tellin me they switched back and are now somehow “normal”??
WTF! Not even Servpro is that good!
cslamer, you are passing on a dishonest lie. Presidents of the U.S. have no control over STATE institutions. Blaming Reagan for the STATE Governors closing down STATE asylums is as absurd as blaming W Bush for Mayor Nagin not using school buses to evacuate New Orleans.
The members of the supreme court need to have this explained to them? Just how stupid are they?
Pity for the people who have delusions such as: gender, race, sex… oppression
Anger for the (D)irtbag/ (D)umbclucks who propagandize for more feelings of persecution and hatred.
