Happy to report that there are several feral cats in my neighborhood and they seem to be doing a good job of keeping the rat and mouse population down .

I was working the Haitian Migration in the mid 90’s in Miami. Groups of them being brought in by C.G. cutters and some of their own vessels. Dogs and chickens on board these boats are not pets but food. With no refrigeration live animals are what they bring to eat. On one boarding we found a protected sea turtle that had not survived the heat in the hole they were storing it in. The smell was terrible both from rotting meat and the people. Personal hygiene is not something they understand or use.
To them a dog is a dinner and that is their culture. I am not surprised at all by reports of them eating cats and dogs.
From one that has been there and seen it.

But now all the kitty memeing this week has overloaded their circuits, and the general population is more aware than ever that unprotected open borders isn’t something they are going to vote for in November.

I went to high school in Springfield (Greenon High, Class of ’75). I just can’t believe I’m reading about the same town. No one is safe, no place is immune from the evil spreading throughout the country.

Me and wife went to an animal sanctuary recently. It provides a home for horses, pigs, dogs, cats, birds. Many times the animals get adopted. Some cats get adopted as “working cats” on a farm, ranch, or maybe urban areas as rodent controllers. Or, adopted as household pets. Probably the dogs and horses can also land jobs as well, but not for rodent control.
It was really good to hear the facility had programs for that.

The liberals sometimes argue that the illegal immigrants are no more criminally minded than Americans. That may be true and it’s certainly true we have enough bad guys here.
So the question I have is: Why would any country want more bad guys? If we have 5 million bad guys in the US, we don’t want 1 million more bad guys coming across the border. As it is, the people coming in aren’t vetted. It appears that we learn that some of them are criminals only after they have committed a crime here in the US.
