The turmoil in Hong Kong is a huuuuuuge embarrassment for Democrats. Hong Kongers are waving the stars and stripes, singing the national anthem, and issuing a global cry for freedom. For a Democratic party that loudly supports bend-a-knee leftists who hate the U.S. flag, such as Colin Kaepernick, that’s a problem. And for a party that is trying to sell socialism to the U.S. public, well, thug-state China’s got socialism in spades.
President Trump has taken flak for his response to the crisis, arguably so, but the real clown show is in what’s coming from the Democrats.
Here’s what Axios found when it tried to get answers from Democratic presidential candidates about what to do, particularly if the Chicoms get violent with the Hongkongers:
- Sen. Bernie Sanders and former Rep. Beto O’Rourke offered the most specific responses. Sanders’ campaign said the senator, if elected president, would be willing to sanction foreign officials involved in human rights abuses, including violence against demonstrators.
- The O’Rourke campaign said he would support Rep. Jim McGovern’s legislation to halt the sale of munitions and police equipment to the Hong Kong police, and would support sanctions on those perpetrating human rights violations.
- The campaign also said O’Rourke “would work with allies in the region and across the world to condemn any acts of violence in response to non-violent protests.”
- Aides to former Vice President Joe Biden, Sens. Kamala Harris and South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg directed Axios to the candidates’ public responses, none of which offered a direct solution in the event China uses violent military force.
- Senator Kirsten Gillibrand’s campaign offered a vague statement on her support for the protesters, but did not address Axios’ question.
- Sens. Cory Booker and Amy Klobuchar, Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, Andrew Yang, and former HUD Secretary Julián Castro did not respond to requests for comment.
O.K., so cowardice and an embarrassed silence is the response from the vast majority of them. Total tongue-ties from Booker, Klobuchar (the supposed moderate), Gabbard (figures, she has a soft spot for Russia’s Putin and Chavista Venezuela), Yang, and Castro. Can’t have anything cutting into that support for the Colin Kaepernick vote for those guys. more here
They reject the use of force abroad to support a democratic revolt. They support the use of force at home to disarm a free people.
They are being entirely consistent.
They also see the chicomm coming assault as inspiration.
Doubt it. In order to be embarrassed, one must have the capacity for shame, and the democrats have no shame. They don’t give a fuck about Hong Kong, Freedom, nor Democracy. They’ve made it clear that they are all totalitarian motherfuckers who demand their way or the highway… to the gulag.
One Country, Two Systems. HKers have every reason to revolt. Winnie The Xi abducted the head of Interpol…who has now confessed to something. Putting the Beijing Brutality law, official extradition, onto paper only brings 2047 closer. And don’t look across the water, but gambling isn’t what it used to be in Macau.
So the Hong Kongers would vote Republican. They will not be allowed in.
They all would give ‘amnesty to any HK’er wanting to come to the US and wave the Chicom Flag.
The Chinese [non Hong Kong version] are in a really bad position. HK is their weak spot. HK hated being a British colony, but now those days are looking pretty good to them. China does not like being in the spotlight.
The US has finally woken up to the fact that China needs our money more than we need cheap shit to sell at Walmart. I’ve also read that the sweatshop job market China used to own is now be challenged by Vietnam and India. The Chinese are going to be living in some interesting times.
None of these Clown Car Commie Bastard-Ass democRATs will even display the American flag on their stage!! They just want to Rob America Blind Again with their so-called Socialism that makes everyone equal by dragging them down to the lowest common level of Suck… except, of course, the elite masters of “Equal”!! The Detroitification of America has been superseded by LA, San Fransisco, San Diego, Sacramento, Seattle, Denver, New York, Baltimore, Chicago, Philly, Cleveland, etc. If a democRAT runs it, it’s a fcuking Shit-Hole! HONG KONG—As soon as Bernie Sanders heard about the democratic protesters in Hong Kong, he knew something had to be done. The U.S. senator quickly chartered a flight to Hong Kong in order to throw himself into the fray.
Sanders bravely stood in the middle of the conflict between police and protesters, shouting at the “ungrateful little dissenters” that they don’t know how good they have it under a Communist regime.
“Remember, you could have it a lot worse—you could be in America!” Sanders bellowed as police officers for the totalitarian regime beat protesters in the background. “Hey, you! You on the floor there! You’re not looking very appreciative of living in one of the greatest Communist countries on earth!” Sanders continued his long-winded rant about the need for the government to own the means of production, how great breadlines are, and how bad things are in capitalist America as protesters got dragged away by police to be disappeared.
“Just think—in America, we have to pick between 14 different types of deodorant!” he said, his fingers flopping around like limp sausages.
According to sources, Beto O’Rourke is planning on joining Sanders to inform Chinese citizens how lucky they are that they don’t live in a racist country like America.
