Hospital Workers Turn Down COVID Vaccine: “There’s Too Much Mistrust”

ZH:

Less than a week after we reported on widespread resistance among healthcare workers in one Chicago hospital, BeckersHospitalReview.com’s Ayla Ellison reports that the virus of vaccine mistrust is spreading

Many employees at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C., have reservations about taking the COVID-19 vaccine, and CEO Anita Jenkins is trying to get workers to follow her lead by getting vaccinated, according to CNN

The hospital, a major healthcare provider for the Black community, received 725 doses of the Pfizer vaccine Dec. 15 and expects to receive a second shipment this week. As of Dec. 18, only about 600 of the hospital’s 1,900 employees had signed up for the shots, according to Kaiser Health News

  1. …because taking a high-risk, barely proven vaccine with no long-term or mutanegenuc or reproductive studies for a low risk disease that’s so subtle you won’t know you HAVE it unless someone with a highly dubious tests TELLS you to is, frankly, just stupid…

  2. …besides, there’s a LOT of diseases in a hospital and they are mutating ALL THE TIME, so you cannot reasonably get vaccinated for more than a tiny portion of them, most don’t have ANY vaccine, and even if they DO, its no guarantee you won’t get it ANY WAY.

Thats why you practice universal precautions and don’t do anything stupid, and you and your patients will be fine. Been that way for many, many years, and no reason it shouldn’t be that way for many more.

Besides, God gave you an immune system for a REASON. But it doesn’t work AT ALL if you HIDE from everything. I washed dishes in a Chinese restaurant by HAND, worked on cars with steering wheels sneezed on by people from all over the world, climbed into upside-down cars where people bled on me, had sick babies vomit in my mouth during CPR, and worked on food machinery that you sometimes find surprise piles of rancid cheese and rotting meat the neither regions of, and because of all this I have an immune system that’s so jacked up it goes out and hunts diseases down all over the neighborhood when I’m sleeping because it too easy for it to kill just MINE.

It’s a remarkable system, but you have to EARN it.

You’ll never be able to fight off ANYTHING if you cower behind your curtains all day long, and people in health care know this as well as ANYONE…

  3. When both sides of the aisle, the government “health care” system, the media, even President Trump all agree on something, I ain’t going no where near it.

And when creeps like Gates are telling me it’s necessary for you to be able to move about in society, I’m most definitely having none of that.

  5. So, for the last 40 or 50 years we’ve been give a Flu vaccine that’s good for last year’s Flu. Every year there’s a new strain, supposedly worse than last year’s strain.
After 50 years you’d think someone would get smart and realize we’re no longer producing our own immunity to viruses?
Basically, this is why I don’t get a Flu shot, and won’t take the Chinese Flu shot.

  6. We’re supposed to believe these people up in DC are taking the vaccine publicly to instill trust? Well then get in a line somewhere they’re being dispensed and take one randomly!

  7. It is interesting that big time population reduction advocates want us to take this shot. When government asks for volunteers and government is inextricably tied up with depopulation advocates the stench is overwhelming. I’m at the far margin of the breeding population but if I get a wild hair and decide to go ahead, then I want to be able to.

  8. We have an immune system and the old, weak and infirm succumb to illness in every species. Taking rushed experimental vaccines for an illness 99.6% are going to survive doesn’t make sense. Maybe if you are in a high risk group but for the rest of us why are we not allowed to discuss vaccination safety. The kooks are the ones that rail against big corporations, call them evil and then demand we all roll up our sleeve and get jabbed with products created by the largest coronations in the world that are making a profit and are immune to any liability from injuries they create.

  9. I was offered a vaccine for tick borne encephalitis back in the 90s. It was a disease prevalent in the part of the world I was in, but because the FDA hadn’t approved it, only the european version of that agency, the military couldn’t force us to take it. They STRONGLY encouraged us to the point they were offering three day passes, other little perks, but ultimately was our choice. They made us sit through a two hour brief and q&a about it, and it occurred to me that I had roughly a .05% chance of contracting the disease and if I caught it, I had a .005% chance of getting the severe case that would cause major issues. I declined it. None of my buddies who took the shot complained much other than some itching and soreness at the injection site, but I’m glad I didn’t get it regardless. I won’t be getting this one either.

  10. “Immune system”
My sister-in-law, 20 year veteran RN at the local clinic, NEVER gets sick. She attributes it to being constantly exposed to everything.
When my son was little he liked to eat dirt. People would be appalled that I didn’t jump up and do something immediately. I always responded with “A little dirt won’t hurt”.
    Immunities start early.

  11. Let’s see, they lied to us about it from the beginning flattening the curb and then it went South from there predicting 2 million people to die in the US?
We’re at the end of the year and this year’s been less in overall deaths for America in the last 10 years. How about you have to wear a mask so you can go out how about you get a vaccination so you can go out? But now we can’t even go out with it and you still need a mask.
BTW nobody has gotten the flu this year it’s all the Chinaflu. Because the hospitals are getting paid extra.
I’d say we need less trust in government.
