Townhall-
If there’s one Republican senator who is not only totally useless but can always be expected to do the wrong thing, it’ll be Mitt Romney. Lisa Murkowski is a close runner-up, but Romney’s latest move is just more proof that this man remains a traitor to the party. He voted with Democrats to convict Trump in both of their impeachment efforts. The only group in Utah that truly likes the jobs he’s doing are the few Democrats who live there, and now he’s working with them to increase the minimum wage. Why Mitt? Why. MORE
That’s our boy – Mitt! (and I thought our previous senator, Orrin, was a total swamp creature, but he didn’t hold a candle to Pierre!)
“The only group in Utah that truly likes the jobs he’s doing are the few Democrats who live there …. ”
They be few, but those that don’t like the job he’s doing are even fewer or else he wouldn’t get elected and re elected.
Whenever you criticize a politician, keep in mind that he is where he is because the majority of voters wanted him to be there.
..well, his Bain Capitol did destroy many jobs, including all those at Toys R US, so ruining ordinary lives for his own profit is really nothing new to him, its kind of his brand…
@Anonymous, Romney is still in his FIRST term, assuming office in 2019 so your premise only holds if he gets re-elected.
Utah ain’t Arizona or Maine, his squishy conservatism will be and has been noticed. He is a fraud, he will be primaried and summarily given the boot.

…or, fraud, whichever…
Willard was only elected to the Senate in 2018. He’s never faced the voters in Utah since then, and when it comes time for his re-election, he might find it tough going. I’m betting he retires from politics, since Romney won’t be able to pretend to be an honest Conservative. His protective underwear won’t save him in 2024.
The job og government seems to be the creation of problems that creates the need for government solutions. Of course, the solutions lead to more problems, so the chcle may continue. Nice racket.
I hate typing on my phone….
I had to vote for that fudge packer in ’12.
I feel so dirty.
Minimum wage? What we need is a maximum wage on federal elected officials of say no more than $30,000 per year and no benefits + charge them rent for the taxpayer provided offices!
“I feel so dirty.”
But you voted for him anyway.
Yet republicans vote for him because……..gee, i recognize this guy’s name.
Mittens got into his first term because: 1) He’s good looking (womans’ votes) 2) He SAID he was a Republican/conservative 3) He’s a Mormon (I see him as a MINO – Mormon In Name Only)
The next go-’round, he may still get by on #1, but #2 will be a handicap (past record), and #3 is a “don’t matter”.
We all know he’s a piece of shit. That’s all we need to know.

operative word in my comment is “had”
have been conservative voter for 57 years. Do not vote for liberals with an “R”: GWB, Johnny, Mitt. Subsequent events on all radical leftist GOP men have strengthened my conservatism!
Government causes inflation. Minimum wage is a feeble attempt to stave off the damage caused by the former.
The people of Utah voted for this clown. They can bitch & bellyache all they want or they can send him packing when election time rolls around again.
