I’ve been told the M-1A Abrams tank barrels are completely
computer controlled to off set the movement of the tank and the
suspension system and is still deadeye accurate at high speeds.
Can anybody validate that?
They would need a similar system like that for a rail gun
on a ship.
Now, for that fast of a projectile on a soft skin ship, I think
it would just go through the hull and do shit for damage. Totally
useless in most cases.
Imagine how much money the Clinton Foundation would have taken in by selling that technology. Damn glass ceiling…
Theoretically can reach escape velocities.
Of course a simple EMP blast would completely immobilize it – though I’m certain that’s all been taken into account and the electronics are Gauss-hardened.
