The North Carolina-based Civitas Institute released the findings of a nonpartisan poll on Wednesday that will be sure to anger the Democrat Party and their allies in the mainstream media.
Civitas conducted the poll August 7 and 8, surveying 400 registered, likely, and unaffiliated voters.
Their participants were asked:
If you had a chance to do it all over again, for whom would you vote for President between Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton, and Gary Johnson?
The poll found that 43% would vote for Donald Trump while Hillary Clinton only won 39%. Third party Libertarian Party candidate Gary Johnson won 9% while the other 9% refused to answer or were unsure.

This is definitely a feel-good story, but always be highly skeptical of poll reports that do not include the uncertainty / margin of error in their numbers. With their poll sample size, it may well be that the 4% Trump lead is within the error bars, and if so it is statistically insignificant.

That’s a little closer than I can take too much comfort in.
When you look at the close races that Republican candidates lost more often then not the Libertatian candidates polled more then enough to make the difference. While the Green party got votes it never seemed to be enough to cost the Democrat the seat. Ross Perot cost Bush the 2nd term and gave the county Clinton and eventually Obama and a Democrat Party that is more Socialist (or Fascist actually) then Democratic. I don’t understand why the Libertarians can’t figure that out election after election. Yes, I know that Perot wasn’t a Liberatarian but for a patriot he sure cost your country a lot.
