So the midterms are over and the democrats took control of the house for the first time in 8 years. Estimates are that this year was a new record for spending on seats in congress. The Washington Times puts the figure somewhere close to $5 billion. GoBanking.net decided that there was too much money being thrown around and went looking for the likeliest source.
Figuring that those with money must be the ones buying all those house and senate seats, they identified the 10 wealthiest congressional districts and compared them to which party won. They were right to be concerned. Turns out all those congressional districts vote consistently for one party and of the top 25 riches districts, only 4 went to the opposition. Here

correction: these aren’t the 10 richest counties they are the 10 richest congressional districts …. my district (MD 5) encompasses 3 complete counties & the richest part of Prince Georges County … actually PG County brings down our average
… & if it wasn’t for PG County, Steny Hoyer would’ve been gone a long time ago
