  1. The fitted sheet – a tale of two sheets. It was the best of sheets, it was the worst of sheets. You can have a sheet that fits easily on the bed, or you can have a sheet that folds easily, but you can’t have both.

It was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, ahhh, that fitted sheet causes so much conflict in our soul and with our patience.

We had everything before us, we had nothing before us, if only we could fold that damn sheet.

  2. We have two sets of sheets for the bed. The warm weather is a 900 thread count Egyptian cotton set and cold weather is a flannel set. They are pulled off, washed, and put back on hot out of the dryer. We fold sheets maybe 4 times a year.

  3. @Tsquared — You and I have the right method!

I do fold sheets for a couple of family members who are short and have short arms. When you have long arms, folding sheets isn’t a big deal. And I don’t understand the problems people have with fitted sheets. I start by getting the four corner pockets nested together and when that doesn’t work stuff the unfolded sheets into a clean pillowcase and toss the whole thing into the linen closet. Easy-peasy-cheddar-cheesy!
