How’s The Grand Kids, President Tyler?

When William Henry Harrison took ill and died one month into his presidency, the job went to Vice President John Tyler in 1841.  Tyler was married twice and had 15 children, one named Lyon Gardiner Tyler who was born when President Tyler was in his sixties. Lyon Gardiner had kids of his own when he was in  his seventies.

Two of which are still alive today.

  1. We see young black kids constantly, born in the 21st century, who behave as if 19th Century slavery happened in their lifetimes.
    To them. Personally.

The 19 C. isn’t all that long ago.

We are a young country, indeed. I read somewhere of Grover Cleveland’s son (Francis Grover Cleveland) dying at 92 some years ago (1995 (I looked him up)). I tend to think of the Cleveland Administration as part of Ancient History. Our education system (my education, for instance) is woefully inadequate. Pres. Trump should attempt to eliminate the Dept. of Education (Indoctrination) and destroy the NEA and AFT – some of the better moves he could make for the long-term health of the Republic.
