More than 247,000 customers in North Carolina were without power Sunday afternoon, more than 82,000 in South Carolina, and another 75,000 in Tennessee, Alabama and Mississippi. Parts of Georgia also saw outages.
I do not know what the official number is but here in central VA, we got about a foot… power is still on…knock on wood.

5 to 6″ of snow here, everything frozen this morning down to about 3″. Got the day off! We had one power blip last night, but nothing after that. Northern Virginia along the Potomac.

Same old boring drizzle here. Lows in the 30’s last week. Geoff C. had to mow the lawn again yesterday (thought we were good until spring).
Here in Sarasota County it got down to a chilly 63°F this morning.
We have our first measurable snowfall overnight here in Eastern Wash. and N. Idaho. The biggest problem is dense fog and low visibility, I am extremely glad that I no longer have to drive in Winter weather and road conditions like this anymore.

Cold! Daytime highs in the upper 20’s to low 30’s. Overnight lows in the teens to low 20’s. Any snow we did have, melted. They are predicting that we probably won’t have snow on Christmas. I’m OK with that.
