There’s a housing crisis because outfits like Blackrock are buying up single family homes to rent to illegals since they are paid by taxpayer dollars and make more than they could from private citizens. Maybe things will change when the free stuff stops flowing.
I just asked Grok, which is great for quick, detailed analysis of questions like these. It says that illegals occupy about 3-4 million homes – which is comparable to the shortage. Lots of other factors, but deporting them all will certainly make housing more available and affordable.
