Hugh Hewitt spent an entire hour Tuesday taking PolitiFact’s executive director Aaron Sharockman to task for rating his Sunday claim that Obamacare is in a “death spiral” false.
Hewitt accused PolitiFact of not having adequately reached out to him before publishing the piece, and he immediately opened Tuesday’s interview with a flurry of factual questions.
Sharockman spent the majority of the interview dodging — “what you’re being is non-transparent to your readers” — yet after Hewitt blew holes in his arguments for 50 minutes straight, he actually apologized.
Hugh can really piss me off sometimes, but other times he’s the radio equivalent of Tucker Carlson. Somewhat makes up for the times he throws softballs at his Candy Crowley friends.
He had just finish that takedown when I turned on the radio this morning. I think it was Tom Cotton he was talking t, and they were laughing about the feckless Sharockman. You could almost see the facepalms and shaking head coming out ofnthe radio. Thanks for this recap.

Man, I feel for fools who thinks they can take on this intellectual behemoth and not come out shredded. Hewitt is so brilliant that without any preparation he can take on the best of the best the lefties have to offer. Hewitt is smarter than an Ivy League brain trust.
High says he doesn’t like to say a person is ‘stupid’. However he insults ‘Steelers fans’ every chance he gets. Good humor? Gets old and sounds pompous.
Mr Hewitt is a moderator of Presidential debates & Aaron is a blogger of a site that isn’t taken that seriously. While I’m conservative & agree with Hugh in the facts of his “case”, I don’t think he needed to treat his guest like he was a prosecutor in the Nuremberg trials. Was it really necessary to embarrass this kid for an entire hour? (& he’s a “kid” compared to hugh hewitt wrt background & experience). Hugh completely tore him to shreds & left him for dead. I had always been a fan of Hugh Hewitt, but this interview of his guest was painful.
