Wow! That was unexpected. There goes the day at the beach, kids.
I watched it a second time. The driver pulled out of there way too fast, but it looked like they could have made the turn. What happened?!
I like how everyone is standing around looking at the car (probably taking cellphone pictures). I assume the driver got out and promptly went to the unemployment office.
Carwash will get sued for several million and will go bankrupt, putting dozens out of work and on to welfare. It’s the New American Way! The only winners will be the attorneys.
I’m guessing it was a car wash employee who messed up on an unfamiliar vehicle. Although it’s a pretty common one.
Or maybe he was busy resetting all the radio stations to Latin jazz. 😉
It was nice and clean– for two seconds.
I think the driver didn’t see the drop-off and just thought he was merging onto the street running by. Probably a wet windshield and some sun made it difficult to see well.
In retrospect, they were probably better off with a dirty car.
That is one hella unsafe exit ramp there. Given that 50% of minivan drivers are complete fucking morons, it was only a matter of time before one drove off the cliff.
no kidding …. about 3 months ago my Granddaughter got rear-ended in the car wash
… the woman that hit her must’ve thought it was a 2-for-1 deal
(& no wise-cracks about ‘rear-ended’ …. it’s my granddaughter fer chrissake’s 😉 )
It wasn’t my wife, she avoids any car wash like the plague.
Did they charge extra for the ULTRA-RINSE?
Texting maybe? You can tell by the water trail everyone else figured out how to do it right. Surprised the plans were approved. Architect a dim whit.
The fool, everybody knows that a clean car goes faster!
Bet he wished he’d done that before he spent the time cleaning.
Larry, Darryl & Darryl’s DROP OFF Car Wash!
“We clean the car, the whole car, and nothing but the car…so HELP…US…HELP!”
Dumb ass forgot to change the winter air in the tires.
0:47 Thar she blows, mateys!
@judgeroybean, my thoughts too.
2 years ago the DH was in the middle lane of a laser car wash when the driver in the right lane went crazy, revved up her car and crashed through the side of the building. Apparently she was claustrophobic. Why she went in an enclosed car wash is a mystery although she sued and lost.
I would sue. A drop-off like that needs a railing. For that very reason. Come to think of it, maybe I wouldn’t personally because my insurance would cover me, but I bet my insurance company would.
May not win %100 coverage, but the design is begging for it.
Try mopping a floor in a public building without a wet floor sign and someone slips on it. wtf! Isn’t it obvious? Sure – but you didn’t take every precaution to allow for idiots.
I’m in a biz you have to perform as if everyone else is an idiot & looking to sue you.
Last jury I was on with this kind of dynamic, I worked to reel-in the outrageous, job-killing amount one juror wanted to award.
She came to understand we would be hurting innocent people if we drove them out of business for that one incidence.
Funny
I always said that going through a car wash should be part of the drivers license test. So many people would fail.
Doesn’t everyone update their status when they exit the car wash?
Put the phone down and drive!
Looks like the driveway was wet and lost traction. Or a bad driver. That will be the cleanest car in the junkyard!
What makes me think a cell phone was involved?
The concerned observer in the pickup that followed is soon to get rear-ended.
Dang. I’m disappointed. I was expecting another car coming out of the car wash to push the truck over the edge.
You can see the two hands on the wheel.
