I Love My Treats – IOTW Report

I Love My Treats

Images from:

1) Conservative Cowgirl (Great Blue Heron) This Great Blue Heron frequently hunts gophers on our property, for which I am very grateful!! I managed to get a photo of him with a gopher before he swallowed it.
2) Conservative Cowgirl (Deer) I feed a little bit of oatmeal and sunflower hearts to birds at the back door and I think this doe and her fawn were hoping for some, too. It was all gone, but they had a consolation prize by eating the roses next to the door. Lol!

  2. Those deer remind me of the ones that come into my backyard garden and eat the daylilies that I try to grow. I spray repellant and that usually works but earlier this week they ignored it and mowed down thousands of blossoms and nothing was left in the morning. Once I found a spotted fawn actually up on the patio (three steps up) nibbling on the blossoms while momma watched from the yard. They must taste like candy to these critters.

  3. @Jethro, good to know about daylilies! I’ve thought of planting some, but it would be pointless! Lol! I’ve been thinking of spreading some red clover seeds out in the field so the deer have that to nibble on
