Awhile back a reader had a near fatal medical event. She made a miraculous recovery given the severity of her condition.

A great deal of prayer and support from loved ones proved to increase her level of spirituality.

I wanted to do a painting for her. Here it is.

  8. The fortunate recipient of that painting is my wife. And the painting really is prettier in person. Last March she had a ruptured brain aneurysm while she was driving. I could tell a long version of the story, but she spent 3 weeks in ICU with no visitors, Covid you know. We were blessed with her making a full recovery and her bible has been more meaningful to her than ever.

    Beautiful painting BFH. That well loved leather Bible cover is a wonder.

    Three roses, three leaves, three-sided vessel.

    Is that the moon? Are we sure? The way the window pane crosses may suggest it is something else.

    I dunno’, looks suspiciously like my dead left eye. (it’s just for lookin’ at, not for looking with) I’m thinking of pulling it out and replacing it with something cool.

  34. It got mushed up from a broken bottle years ago. Cool scar though.

    Bill the Butcher had that bitchin’ American eagle glass eye. That would be dope… One of those plasma balls would be cool. Just, you know…super tiny.

    The other option is of course, a small grenade.

    Optimally, I’ll make my own glass eyes to donate to the poor. BECAUSE I”LL USE THAT BLANK GLASS FOR CORPORATE ADVERTISING.

    I bet I could find a digital screen small enough. Just have it display fire. Any color fire.

    That way I could match my belt and shoes.

  42. This is one thing that is great about this site. We can have a heartfelt discussion about something, then the ground gets pretty well covered, someone comes in with an off the wall comment, and it goes sideways. I like that shit. We do good here. I was wondering if we were going to hear from Burr again.

  43. If more people followed my investment strategy of buying Mesikin real estate perhaps we could bring the internet to rural Mesiko.

    Maybe….maybe flushing toilets as well.

    Anyway, all I said was maybe the moon isn’t the moon….even though it pretty much looks like…..the moon.

    What’s your guess? I think it looks like my left eye…which I may or may not pluck out all Odin style and replace it with fire.

    Seems like a perfectly reasonable comment to me.

  45. Why would fat virgins be opposed to flushing toilets in rural Mesiko?

    BUY MEXICO is part 37B subsection 2 of my master plan. Either to turn the entire country fallow or to develop it. More fences go up either way.

    Just figured fat virgins would want a place to whizz.
