Idiot congresswoman thinks NYC was giving Amazon 3 billion dollars

Guess who we ware talking about.

Listen to this dumb bint. She thinks NY was giving Amazon 3 billion dollars. She thinks now that the deal is off NYC has 3 billion laying around that they can spend on infrastructure.

This idiot is criminally stupid and should be removed from office.

  1. She and her army of stupid followers.

And there is no reasoning with them. You can lay out the facts point-by-point and still they refuse to see the truth.

This is what the American “education” system has spawned. An entire generation immune to the facts.

    Heaven help us.

  2. Great gift – the optics of the great New Green Deal creator cheering what she essentially proposed in the billl. Destroying jobs, running businesses out of town (this time NYC, her bill America) and gleefully celebrating the demise of new jobs, real estate opportunity and trumping the will and desire of actual NYC residents. This is it folks, the preview into socialism. Central planners know better than local residents how to run your life.

  3. She’s correct, of course.
If you believe that YOUR money’s in MY pocket.
Same as calling a reduction in the rate of rise a “cut.”
If the socialists want the income tax rate to rise to 70% in 5 years but the RINOs “compromise” that the rate rises to 70% in 10 years, the socialists will decry this as a “cut” in taxes.

    Socialist double-speak.

Don’t assume she’s stupid because she’s disingenuous – she’s playing to her imbecilic gallery of clapping and barking seals – and they haven’t the sense to know the difference.

  4. Still, there’s something wonderfully ironic with Amazon choosing Valentine’s Day to call off the romance with NYC.

I wonder how governor Cuomo and Mayor DeBlasio feel about the representative from the Bronx? When it comes time for her to run again, think either is going to lift a finger to help her? I wonder what punishment they’ll dish out to her district in the meantime. They all deserve each other.

  5. Elijah Kliger, founder of a home veterinary service called InstaVet, signed a lease for what he called the deal of his life, a 44,000-square-foot space on 23rd Street for a 24-hour animal hospital, in anticipation of Amazon. Now, he said he was considering cutting up to 15 jobs from his business plan.

“This is going to be devastating,” he said. “The retail corridors of Long Island City have just showed signs of life. This puts the kibosh on the activity that has been happening.”

  6. 25,000 people at $15 an hour equals $780,000,000 a year in money into the New York economy. Then add expense of construction, additional goods and services the yearly impact easily tops 1 billion… extrapolate the additional turn over in the local economy not to mention and the impact keeps growing. This would have paid for it self in less than 3 years.

  7. It’s a Marxist thing…going back to the Bolsheviks and beyond, they always claim to speak for (or be) the majority, and they always claim their opponents are inferior in intelligence and mental health. ALWAYS.

  8. Socialism shows its ugly face if only people would look at it. The tax break money isn’t “coming” from anywhere – it just means that New York will receive less tax money from Amazon as a result of the deal. Now that Amazon has pulled out, New York won’t receive any additional revenue.

But the real crime is that this doesn’t affect Amazon upper management – they are mobile and they don’t really care where Amazon is located. This affects the local wage earning people; Amazon was going to provide a lot of jobs and now those jobs are going somewhere else. Once again, socialist policy screws the common folk.

On a related note, one of our local McDonald’s remodeled – the inside counter has one register station for ordering, but four self-serve kiosks where customers can order and pay. Today, Illinois passed legislation raising the minimum wage to $15 per hour. Coincidence? No, basic cost/benefit analysis.

The instructions were “show your work”.
Not “let it show in your work”.

  10. One Term Wonder. She’s going to get primaried. The “dancing girl” video will come back to haunt her. As well as all of her constituents who were hoping for jobs with Amazon.
