Progressivism always demands to be judged by its intentions, never its results. When progressive policies cause harm, advocates will not admit failure; it must be the system that’s defective. Give them control over the system, and the failure and finger-pointing continue. Eventually, it’s always the people themselves who are the problem.
This pattern plays out in just about everything progressivism injects itself into: human sexuality, marriage and family, gender, government and economics.
Their schemes will work, if only we’ll give up everything we’ve worked for, everything we value.
Progressivism offers sympathy as policy but ends up creating widespread suffering. Conservatism promotes responsibility, discipline and self-restraint. These may not be as emotionally appealing as misguided compassion but they have the advantage of actually producing individual flourishing and societal success.

Look at the evidence, in every society that Leftism (in one form or another) has been introduced has always had a reduction in the quality of life. I’d say find me an exception, but the leftists can’t. It’s a religious belief with the left.
If you can’t figure out trying to eliminate gas/oil/coal and shutting down pipelines all over is the cause of the inflation for all products needed for basic survival – food, gas, heating for your home – then you shouldn’t vote.
I don’t support the left to the extreme of a desire to have them all eliminated. The problems they foist on society keep recurring in an endless cycle because they are allowed to exist.
They are the root cause of the problems. Eliminate the root cause and you eliminate the problem.
Our ancestors understand human nature and didn’t make any qualms about. All of the topics mentioned like marriage, abortion, education…all of them, we, that is the metaphoric we, generally conservatives know that EVERYTHING the left touches turns to shit.
So lets look at something touchy, that is segregation. For starters, after recognizing that the behavior of blacks in our society is fundamentally different than the behavior of white people, I have elected not to live anywhere where more than an infrequent sighting of one is the norm.
Our ancestors knew this about the difference in behaviors & humna nature and eventually arrived at a separate but equal society(which was I admit anything but).
They were right to seek that solution and looking at what’s happening now with the hands off approach of our law enforcement coupled with the overall willingness to exchange the forgiveness for slavery in return for almost a pass on criminal behavior, I contend that we have enough problems without having to deal with millions of aggrieved blacks with seemingly a license to do what ever their lack of restraint tells them to do.
Blacks commit 7x the violence on whites than the reverse. They’re responsible for well 50% of all violent crime. The police departments of every major city could be reduced by huge percentages(I’ve read NYC could see a 80-90% reduction)if there were no blacks.
So what to do? Living with them is a problem that will happen to you. Period. I miss some of the things about living in a big city but low crime rates, walking around your neighborhood after dark, no graffiti, no mountains of trash, no drive bys, home invasions…none of that crap is a big plus.
Our country is a cornucopia of oppertunity and I would never deny anyone the chance to make the most of it. But I have the freedom to associate and have made my choice. And just because I live in 99% white communities doesn’t mean I’ve abandoned SA.
To circle back, my parents had it right. Let them do them and we’ll do us. If you’re going to tell me that’s playing into the hands of the left, I got nothing.
