  1. It’s really impressive how efficiently he got that cat in the bed of the pickup and got everything closed up. They knew what they were doing. I would not want to be on the sharp end of a bobcat!

  2. Well, that sure went calmly and quietly…
until those last five seconds or so…

@joe6pack — Yes, indeed, the guy with the trap pole sure knew what he was doing. He knew to the inch where the bobcat was, where he was, and where the truck was. Once he got the cat out of the car he didn’t take even one step but simply pivoted and lifted and tossed kitty in the bed. Smooth! Smooth and testicular!

  3. Al, that would make a guy nervous as hell to be on that stick and not knowing what you’re doing. Even knowing what you’re doing would get your adrenaline going. Sounds like the bobcat was released in the wild, a success story.

  4. I once found a small dead bat that had flown into the front grill of my work truck. I noticed it when I was going around the front of the van, very strange for a bat to get clobbered like that. And I’ve had a few collisions with deer who got clobbered when they ran in front of me. Fortunately, nothing hugely damaging but they still make a big mess when hit at 60 + mph. One of our other drivers blew his air bag once when he hit a deer, it caused considerable damage and fortunately he was only shaken up but the van was down for a while being repaired.

You’re going to need to be SUPER friendly with it if you want to be on the OTHER end.

  6. My mom’s Ford Galaxy had a tiger tale in the 60’s. She would pull into the Victoria TX gas station and get 6 gallons of gas for a dollar and the attendant pumped it for her. We loved that tiger tale, everyone had to have them.
