When I’m not trapped and not panicking and in an ideal position, it’s difficult to press in that little tab to release the headrest. But thanks for the tip, it might save some lives.
Some cars need a paperclip? https://youtu.be/5KjtZYzH-x8?t=40
Spring loaded center punch.
Small, cheap & will shatter a glass with little effort.
If the car is full of water, it’s hard to get enough swing/force to do the head rest or even one of those “hammers” designed for breaking glass.
I hate amazon, but you get the picture:

@Bongo — Thanks for that tip, it’s something I’d never thought of. I have two of those and one is going in my car the next time I go out.

Last time I checked it was 4.00 for one at Harbor Freight.
^^^ Get 2 from Horror Freight because they usually work, but not always.
^^^^ I lucked out then, the two I bought years ago actually work well (and have been used a lot since then). Then again, that was over a decade ago, so who knows if the quality has gone down hill from then.
“Good luck with that”, Mary Jo kopechne
Yeah – don’t hitch a ride with a Kennedy or drive your vehicle off the bridge.

If you happen to have your CCP, you have something better in your pocket.
A tool that covers more than being trapped in your car.
I got a thingy in each vehicle that has a tire gauge (digital), seat belt cutter, window breaker tip and small LED light.
Alright, you can dispense with any Chappaquiddick jokes right now!
Well, we’ll drive off that bridge when we come to it.
Also – Throw away that 15 year old Garmin!!
I’m sure you haven’t paid for the map updates. I have heard horror stories of people driving off bridges under construction or straight when the road was changed to a curve while driving late at night.
How do you get out if you’re trapped in the Biden regime?

I don’t think I’d want to set off a gun with full power loads in it under water.
I know guns can be fired under water, but I think only with greatly reduced loads in them.
