Illinois State Dems Try Their Own Sticker Campaign At the Pump

Blue State Conservative

Late on Friday night, when most of us were either sound asleep or out kicking off the weekend with some partying, Democrats at the Illinois statehouse in Springfield were busy trying to save their jobs by bullying owners of gas stations.

In the wee hours of Saturday morning, lawmakers in the Land of Lincoln put forth and passed a controversial and probably unconstitutional bill requiring gas stations to post stickers on their gasoline pumps. The stickers will laud the efforts of the Democrat-controlled legislature by stating the following;

“As of July 1, 2022, the State of Illinois has suspended the inflation adjustment to the motor fuel tax through December 31, 2022. The price on this pump should reflect the suspension of the tax increase.” More

  1. Illinois being Illinois. Hard to believe that there are still conservatives living there such as the OP. Do yourself a favor and get the hell out of that totally corrupt state.

  2. So they blow more money printing stamps to deflect attention on all our money they’ve blown.

    Waiting for %50 ethanol mix. That will stop all transportation so that Buttgiggly can take a sabbatical to breastfeed his babies next to his ‘wife’.

  3. Illinois is yet another state that is largely conservative but controlled but 2 densely populated counties that are a big majority dem.

    My mother’s side of the family was from downstate IL and we visited them frequently when I was growing up in Chicago. It’s pastoral & populated with conservative & God fearing people.

    IL political crooks came and went but Mike Madigan was a decades long fixture. One of the most corrupt political machines in the country. Destroyed the state keeping his cronies in clover. The numbers of former state workers getting over $100,000/year is staggering.
