A jury on Wednesday convicted a former Illinois sheriff’s deputy of second-degree murder, a lesser charge, in the shooting death of Sonya Massey, a woman who called 911 to report a suspected prowler.
Sean Grayson could be sentenced to up to 20 years in prison or even probation. The jury did not convict him of first-degree murder, a crime that carries a sentence of 45 years to life.

They should use this video to show how to be a dick cop. The tactical gloves were the first clue. How to intimidate an 80 plus year old woman who called them for help. I’m surprised they didn’t shoot each other. They certainly swept each other enough.
Even with murder bad cops don’t get the punishment they deserve.

This is why ALL cops should have body cameras. In the old days, bad/corrupt/lazy cops could hide their sins with a juiced up police report and no witnesses. Those days are over.
He deserves to go to prison. Hopefully more of these convictions will provide the impetus for more circumspection, soul-searching (maybe I shouldn’t be in this line of work) and better judgment displayed within the LE community.

It’s not because you are submitting, its because MOST of the MODERN ONES are either STUPID or WOKE-ISH and looking for an excuse.
Why where they treating her as a suspect? They were there looking for a prowler, they didn’t find one, why didn’t they leave her alone after that? She should have never let them in the house. The two officers kept escalating the situation instead of deescalating. Yeah, that was a shit show.

It was priceless seeing them hiding in the doorway trying to avoid an 80 year old woman with a pot of hot water. My aching head. There’s a lot of really good cops out there and these killers give them a really bad name. They could have walked in there and become her best friend. WTF? They deserve o be executed.

The 90% of good cops cover up and make excuses for the 10% of bad cops, rendering 100% of them bad cops.
Any cop going to prison will be treated poorly by the inmates. He may have to be placed in protective custody to avoid serious injury/death. So if you think he didn’t get a harsh enough sentence, just wait for the inmates.
Keep your hands empty and in sight all the time when talking to cops.
