SIOA – Stop the Islamization of America, after long court battles, has argued their case successfully and has received a trademark.
The Office of Patent and Trademarks initially turned the request for a trademark down, citing:
(1) “Islamisation” means converting to Islam or “to make Islamic;” and (2), “Stop” would be understood to mean that “action must be taken to cease, or put an end to, converting or making people in America conform to Islam.” Thus, the trademark, according to the “Office Action” ruling, disparaged Muslims and linked them to terrorism. See how Geller and Spencer’s legal team used the name of a band, The Slants, to successfully sway the court and allow them to see the light HERE
Geller and Spencer, they don’t seem to slow down or take a break.
Good for her!
I wonder if the spelling played a role (islamization VS islamisation)
I wonder why Robert Indiana
