CFL: Every now and then we run across the story of a real live, oath-keeping Sheriff who really cares about the people of his county. Such is the case of Elkhart County’s Brad Rogers.
The feds began harassing one of the milk farmers in his county back in 2011, because they were selling raw milk to a local organic food co-op. The Sheriff chose to stand with the farmer. The story has been renewed now because the Sheriff offered an explanation to Off the Grid News on February 16, 2016.
“Specifically, the FDA was inspecting his farm without a warrant as much as every two weeks. Typical inspections occur annually. The only Constitutionally recognized law enforcement officers, I believe, are Constables and Sheriffs.
@JustAl: As far as I’m aware, you are in fact correct. The founders wanted it this way so that the highest authority locally was answerable directly to those closest to him, the local population.

Raw milk is actually less prone to harbor harmful bacteria than pasteurized milk. It’s all about control, government power grab.
