Inflate This

The media is trying to make inflation a thing. Here Here and Here

They seem to think that is an issue democrats can run on this November.

What they conveniently leave off is this year’s Consumer Price Index CPI (averaging 2.69) which includes nearly a month of Bidenomics. That’s when the CPI ran well over 3 percent every year and sometimes as high as 6.6 percent (September 2022). Here

No inflation is bad. It means your economy is shrinking and people aren’t buying anything so prices have to go down. So, you may ask, “How much inflation is acceptable?” The Fed’s focus is 2.0 percent. Here

What people are complaining about now is the hangover from the Biden years when no one controlled federal spending and inflation spiraled out of control.

That’s a filthy self-serving larcenous lie. They’re talking about monetary inflation trying to get you to mistake that for price inflation. THEY ARE NOT THE SAME THING.

Also, note that the US Dollar in 1800 was worth about 20% LESS than the Dollar in 1913. The value went up and down through the 113 year span, generally lower during wars and recessions, but without The Fed, created in 1913, the value was based upon how the economy was doing and not on some arbitrary, controlled monetary policy that would invariably favor those controlling it.
And thanks to Andrew Jackson for preventing something like The Fed from being created much earlier.

  5. We are fast approaching that singular moment when people are literally without any sense or ability to perceive the difference between this word and that one. No inflation means the economy is shrinking? WTF (who TF) came up with that one? That person needs to immediately take a smelly dook and fall back into it.
