The I.R.S. said on Monday that churches and other houses of worship can endorse political candidates to their congregations, carving out an exemption in a decades-old ban on political activity by tax-exempt nonprofits.

The agency made that statement in a court filing intended to settle a lawsuit filed by two Texas churches and an association of Christian broadcasters. More

  1. If Lutheran and Methodist churches get their way, we’ll get the first Black, Trans, Lesbian, Pro-Islam, Environmentalist president. The Rainbow flag will fly atop Old Glory at the White House.

  2. Ironic. My parents stopped attending church back in the late 60’s due to the pulpit endorsing libtard candidates. This is back in the day of Barry Goldwater. I’m not saying I disagree with this. After all the libtards have been doing it forever. Who knows, it may change the position of some churches.

  4. In other words, conservative churches can now endorse candidates too. Black and faggot churches have been doing it for decades right out in the open, just like commie NGOs do.

  5. I’m thinking the churches or mosques, or any other so called place of worship, should lose their tax exempt status whether they endorse a candidate or political party or not. What the hell makes religious construction of monuments to faith so special?

  6. No entity that takes in money should be tax exempt, and there should be no charitable deductions. Most of it has become used as tax-sheltering scams of the rich, er “philanthropists” and NGOs and ways to get someones else to fund parties…

Every working stiff that pays taxes indirectly supports all of this, including religions and especially “causes” to which he is averse. Would be better to just stop with the charity and non-profit nonsense and lower tax rates.
