Pentagon Says OBAMA Was Wrong: It’s NOT ISIL, IT’S ISIS!

Pentagon Officially Designates The Proper Name To The Enemy

During a Friday briefing, Capt. Jeff Davis, a Pentagon spokesman, said that the Pentagon had officially switched the name of the Islamic terrorist group, ISIL, to ISIS according to Fox News.

Changing the name from ISIL to ISIS was important for the Pentagon to do for a few different reasons. Under the Obama administration the preferred acronym was ISIL, which stands for Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.

The undefined region around Syria is historically referred to as the Levant; it includes Syria, Lebanon, Israel and Palestine, and Jordan. This name shows that the militants want their area of control to go beyond Iraq.

By calling the terrorist organization ISIL, Obama was giving the group added credibility in the eyes of the Islamic world because the group’s stated goal “is to restore an Islamic state, or caliphate, in this entire area.”

His [Obama’s] use of ISIL could be a strong indication that he supports re-establishing Muslim rule and sharia law throughout the Levant, and good riddance to Israel.

    Sorry. Language means everything. I hated when obama and his stooges defied the common terminology ISIS and insisted on ISIL. It was affront to every
    American who had more sense.
