Mike Nesmith used to be my favorite monkee. Now it’s Jay Carney… oops, sorry, Jay doesn’t get/have to be the monkee anymore. Guess I’ll go with the proboscis monkey that thinks he’s a journalist… but then again, he also thinks he’s a funny comedian. And yet, in reality he’s neither!
Hey Hey! He’s a Monkee. Thanks.
I could make the connection to music from the back drop, but that’s as far I could get. Throw in the wool cap and I might have got it.
That’s the guy who’s mother invented liquid paper.
Wow.
Come on, that’s Bill The Jerk Maher’s father.
Never liked that dumb show but I had no idea that was him!
His mother, Bettie Nesmith, was the inventor of “Liquid Paper”, the white-out loved by manual typewriter users the world over.
From About.com > Inventors:
“Bette Nesmith Graham put some tempera waterbased paint, colored to match the stationery she used, in a bottle and took her watercolor brush to the office. She used this to correct her typing mistakes… her boss never noticed. Soon another secretary saw the new invention and asked for some of the correcting fluid. Graham found a green bottle at home, wrote “Mistake Out” on a label, and gave it to her friend. Soon all the secretaries in the building were asking for some, too.”
His mother painted white houses with liquid paint.
That’s Nez, Mike Nesmith and I will always love the Monkees. They are on tour again this summer!! I’ve loved the Monkees since I was 12/13 in 1966/67.
Oh GOD! Now I am old!!
@Pamela… If you go to the concert bring a can of febreeze air freshener. Davy is starting to get a bit ripe.
Wanted to do a cover album doing Last Train to Clarksville, Daydream Believer, Pleasant Valley Sunday, etc in the style of Gregorian chants.
The title of the album – “The Monk-ees”
Never Heard of him. Please someone, fix my ignorance. Thank you.

Back to the original question: Who’s that?
“Hey, hey, we’re the damn MONKEES, dammit!”
He’s a heckuva good musician in spite of the Monkees. He wrote lots of songs….

This is from Mike Nesmith’s show called Television Parts. Great for a laugh.
Got it right! ye ha! guess I didn’t waste all those Saturday mornings after all!
The guy who originated country rock.
And MTV, but I forgive him; he knew not what he did.
Directed Emilio Estavez in “Repo Man”, no?
He ate a one ton tomato …
The ONLY one who could play an instrument in the Monkees.
