NYP: It’s Ivana Trump’s fault that Donald didn’t run for president sooner.

“Probably five years before our divorce, Reagan or somebody brought him a letter and said, ‘You should run for president,’ ” Donald’s first wife tells The Post at her opulent seven-floor Upper East Side town house, which she purchased for $2.8 million in 1998.

“So he was thinking about it. But then . . . there was the divorce, there was the scandal, and American women loved me and hated him,” she says, referencing Donald’s much-publicized infidelity with Marla Maples that led to the power couple’s 1991 split. “So there was no way that he would go into [politics] at that point,” Ivana says. “But he was always tooling around with the idea.”  MORE

    This is a true statement no matter who said it. These illegals are uneducated and the only thing they bring with them is their hands and feet and an empty skull. The hotels and restaurants employ them because it’s the only job they qualify for. Let’s see how this minimum wage of $15/hr works here in California. Wait until they see what they will pay in taxes and goods. The only thing we benefit from is a clean hotel room and that’s even iffy. BTW, we do our own house work and gardening,I don’t trust them in my home.

  9. That’s it! I’m not voting for a man whose ex-wife says politically incorrect stuff!! Thank goodness I saw this People mag piece!! I just dodged a bullet.

    And to think I might have voted for a true patriot who has the unflinching courage to name names, name problems, offer real solutions, not take money from mega super PACS and from Mitch McConnell’s super PACS (Cruz); someone who isn’t a part of the Bush dynasty, in fact, someone who hasn’t held a single campaign fundraiser since he began his campaign.

    It’s only taken a few months but now I know for sure that Conservative Inc. and all their cultists are just doing what they do — fighting tooth and nail to defend the status quo in this country. By hook and by crook (and mostly by crook). They don’t want change. They couldn’t stand real change. They are the equivalent of the Tories of the American Revolution. Timid, weak, weasels.
