That was fun to watch. So only the men had blindfolds on?
Winston tastes good…
And everyone leaves with a carton. Lol
That was a great old video clip with a couple of baseball greats. The 3rd guest has a museum dedicated to him in Royston, GA. It has some of his bats and gloves and old uniforms among other things. When I was growing up, the old man that used to live across the street used to regale us with tales about him beating the 3rd guest in a foot race which was no small feat (and a couple of old timers that had played with both of them as younger men told us that it was quite possible).
My favorite Ty Cobb quote: “You’ve got to remember – I’m seventy-three.” On why he would only hit .300 against today’s pitchers.
Was it a coincidence that BFH featured Ty Cobb, arguably the dirtiest player in the history of baseball, the same week that Utley broke Tejada’s leg in a dirty slide? Has to be some inspiration, there. Cobb was infamous for sharpening his cleats and using them as weapons against opposing players when he slid, but I don’t remember reading that he ever broke anyone’s leg.
It’s all part of the stream of consciousness.
That was worth the watch just for the un-PCness! They all had fun and nobody got the vapors. I miss those days.
A lot of those stories about Cobb are exaggerated. Most of his peers said that he played hard, but not dirty. Another thing most people don’t know is that, before Jackie Robinson, he was one of the few voices in baseball that called for integration.
I broke a guy’s wrist playing touch football once…..didn’t mean it …..shit happens
