Patriot Retort: Today I signed up for Parler – the free speech alternative to Twitter.

Once again today a tweet from President Trump was labeled with a warning ostensibly because it contained a “threat of harm against an identifiable group.”.

It was this tweet — which doesn’t contain a threat of harm against any identifiable group at all:

  3. This stopped me cold. Maybe someone can explain it to me:

    Influencer Network Information. If you choose to join our influencer network, we may ask for information that can be used to verify your identity, such as a copy of your government-issued photo identification, and information that can be used to facilitate the redemption of virtual items or payments, such as your Social Security number (SSN) or your tax identification number. We delete your government-issued photo identification information when it is no longer necessary to verify your identity.

  4. Brown Eyed Girl- Try opening a new email account with a similar name to what you want your parler name to be. That’s how I’ve done with all other social accounts and was never asked for any ID.

    Example: My email account is Frankjohanssen@facemail.cm
    Name- Frank Johanssen
    and my parler sign up name would be- @FranklovesFunyuns.

  7. Let me know if it works. I’m sure there’s a lot of nice people on Parler, but I’m not mailing or IDing myself like that. If you sign up with a phone number, that’s all the info they need.

  8. I’ll look into it. I already joined gab. So far i hardly ever go there because it’s kind of worthless to me. The ‘powers that be’ have labeled it a white supremacist site. If that is stopping you from joining gab, i’ve got news for you. If parlor takes off, and it is truly free speech, it will also eventually be labeled a white supremacist site. Guaranteed.

    So just pick the best or join all or whatever, but don’t think that you are going to get to speak your mind on any site that allows free speech and also be labeled an “acceptalbe’ person to the left.

  12. I know I’m a low-tech Brown Eyed Girl but honestly, this is the only social network I’m interested in. I can always count on a moderator to post anything I need to see.

  13. I ran out of phone numbers for Twitter. Apparently I’m an asshole and Twitter doesn’t care for my type. LOL, feelings mutual. So I joined GAB. Not to impressed. I’m still a member there but rarely visit. Then I joined Street Loc. Total waste of time. I think there’s like 5 people there. But, I’ve been on Instagram for a long time and totally love it. I know I know. Owned by the same people as Twitter and FB. That’s true but IG moves so fast I don’t think they can moderate it. The only account I’ve ever seen get canceled is some Special Forces guy who’s in country and keeps posting pictures of dead terrorists. Some of them are missing shit. And even this guy keep rolling back to back up accounts and continues posting blown up terrorists. I highly recommend IG.
