More than 40 years after he tried to kill Ronald Reagan, John Hinckley Jr. is getting frustrated by his struggle to make progress in the music business. “With all of my concerts canceled, it’s a fair statement to say I’m a victim of cancel culture,” he said in a post on X Thursday after a venue in Naugatuck, Connecticut, said his concert was postponed until further notice. “They book me and then the show gets announced and then the venue starts getting backlash,” Hinckley tells the New York Post. “The owners always cave, they cancel. It’s happened so many times, it’s kinda what I expect,” he added. “I don’t really get upset.”
There is such a thing as redemption. But there is no such thing as an expectation that people should “get lost” in your music. People didn’t want to listen to the Dixie Chicks and they only verbally went after a president, they didn’t shoot one.
Hinckley, go do some anonymous job and sing in the shower.
You COULD redeem yourself, by simply doing what you did THEN, NOW.
But with better aim.
He should have been cancelled upon conviction by rope or electricity but we coddle criminals rather than punish them.

Too bad. And Jody Foster still won’t sleep with you.
The dood can’t even create a killer tune!
John Hinkley should’ve been canceled, 40 + years ago by the Secret Service when he attempted to assassinate President Reagan.
Who could have possibly seen this coming? EVERYONE!
Cry me a river.
I can’t understand why this guy is still breathing.
