RIP
She should have had an abortion
Happens to everyone. Even the mother of a soulless traitor.
Chances are she regretted each and every year of his existence….If not her, certainly most of us do.
My first Commanding Officer when I got to VF 114 at NAS Miramar California just North of San Diego had lost his pilot wings because he was caught flying a jet underneath the Deception Pass bridge near NAS Whidby Island in Wash. state. He was allowed to be a RIO (Radar Intercept Officer) in the back seat of an F-4 Phantom though. That’s what you get for being a hot dog, he was a good CO though, although his XO who later became our CO was a racist and a major league asshole.
I don’t remember her ever endorsing or praising her little precious.
That says something to me.
108? Looks like she was as stubborn as that old coot she gave birth to. RIP.

God Bless her. Her husband gave his all for our country; unfortunately he passed away shortly after returning home following his witnessing the Japanese surrender. Like his father before him, John Stacey McCain, Jr. was a true patriot, and a pioneer in Naval Aviation. The senior McCains were, IIRC, the first father/son full Admirals in the USN.
She has earned our respect as the wife of a great American hero. The women on the home-front did bare a great burden.
Unfortunately, her son turned out to be a true American PoS. But we should never hold that against her.
God rest her soul.
May the souls of the faithful departed rest in His loving arms.
I was astonished when I heard how old she was!
Gerard Van der Luen’s americandigest.org mom was 104 when she passed last year. We had the great good pleasure of knowing her. She had every last marble God gave her as a baby, too. Wonderful woman.
I don’t want to live that long. I hope and pray I’ve finished my race well before then. I’m not a millionaire with unlimited funds to pay for high-end “senior care”. It would be my luck to get one of those rotten “care givers” who eats all my food and rasacks my belongings.
THAT WAS HIS MOM?? ALL THAT TIME, I THOUGHT SHE WAS HIS SISTER..
RIP IS WELL-DESERVED…108!!! SHE BEAT JACK LALANNE!!
Please tell me she didn’t have a dying wish.
But Abigail, are you saying you’d be willing to sit in a wheelchair, grinning out the window of your nursing home while drool runs down your toothless face, probably because the geriatric caregiver (i.e., hired foreign help) didn’t feel like putting in your dentures today?
For me, there are only two ways to go: (1) while sailing; or, (2) while working the soil. I’ll also settle for the SMOD or thermonuclear devices over my head.

heaven’s got one helluva lineup this year
Wouldn’t Cindy be her granddaughter (in-law)?
Or is that family tree as twisted as The Hanoi Songbird?
RIP.
I knew Roberta McCain. My father was a career naval officer and My Mother was friends with her daughter Sandy I stayed at her house in DC on several occasions and was friends with her youngest son Joe. She was a very funny and charming lady. I will always remember her blue eyes and her infectous laugh. May she rest in peace.
Mommy? F.D.R. just told me you’re spending eternity where the streets are paved with gold and not hot lava.
She actually said people would just have to hold their nose and vote for her John. She said it.
This means nothing to me.
So a bitter traitors’ mom died???
Big fucking deal?
My mom died. Your dad died…’No one’ cares!
That said what a life…
ghost, I gave you a thumb up vote for having the gonads to say that.
When my mom passes, will she get such recognition? No, yet she’s directly related to Alexander Hamilton (certified DAR member). I’ll take Hamilton over McCain all day long.
@::::: – god bless YOUR mom, enjoy her and tell her thanks for all the contributions the DAR have made to this country! Are you former NYC?!
I see DAR placques and such all the time…
“Placed here by the DAR”
In those small little letters at the bottom.
Tell your mom SHE maintained and PRESERVED our American history…
Thx ghost, I was born in NYC.
I’m sure our Aaron Burr will have something to say about this.
It’s all good. 😊
@ ::::: – YOU.ARE.WELCOME. I had a feeling…
Whereabouts in NYC exactly??
Aaron Burr? That guy? He still has a place, an old carriage house, down there, now restaurant. We went there many years ago:

@ghost, born in Flushing.
@ ::::: – and me across the East River in Throggs Neck.
We use to go to a place called Adventurers Inn right off the Whitestone Parkway in Queens, a small amusement park of sorts, that was in the late 60’s.
Bowling there in the late 70’s, both were off Carle Place exit I think?
After that, a head shop on Main St. in the early 80’s…
YOU WOULD NOT RECOGNIZE the place now…Flushing that is.
The home of the Mets @BFH et al…
