Journalist Asks People for the Most Insane NPR Stories They Remember, and They Deliver the Goods

G P-

Journalist Matt Taibbi used to be a man of the left, but was pushed away from the progressive side in the age of the crazy woke. He is not a conservative, but he has a much more realistic outlook than most of his former fellow travelers.

Now that NPR and PBS have been defunded, Taibbi asked Twitter users if they could remind him of the craziest stories they remember seeing or hearing on National Public Radio.

People did not disappoint him. He was flooded with examples of insane woke journalism featured on NPR over the years. more here

  1. Thy can drone on in monotone on their own fucking dime from now on. Let the left, with their well-documented record of being the most parsimonious when it comes to charitable giving, pick up any residual cost.

Thet worthless bastard Ken Burns has infested the last documentary I’ll ever invest time or money in with his woke bullshit as well.

  2. Forty years ago, I used to listen to Morning Edition with Bob Edwards and loved his Friday morning talks with legendary baseball announcer Red Barber. I gave up listening to NPR for the most part in the mid 80’s except for Car Talk with the Ray and Tommy the Tappet Bros. and a Prairie Home Companion in the early 2000’s when GK wouldn’t quit spouting his liberal bs. Goodbye NPR you suck!

  3. geoff – once again I have a similar story, however at the turn of the century I emailed NPR asking why they needed so much government money. At the time it was reported that 10% of their budget was government funding.
They got back to me saying that they take nothing from the government.
    I replied with “Bullshit!”
They replied their budget actually gets 1% federal money.
I replied with: “Still sounds like Bullshit to me!”
I wish I could fish out those emails, but it was in a different, long gone email account.
I stopped listening to Car Talk and emailed Tom and Ray the reason I’m not listening anymore.
    No response…

  4. Click and Clack the Tappet Bros. were hilarious especially Tommy with his infectious laughter answering questions from idiot callers about their car problems. It was never the same after Tommy died from Alzheimer’s, maybe that was the reason that he was so funny.

  5. Back in the late 90s Subaru’s marketing campaign was appealing to the LGBTQ+WTF community. Click and Clack is where I first heard the term “It’s a Chuck Magnet!”
