  1. Murder AND manslaughter? Well, why not throw in some other charges while we’re at it? Like maybe assault, bodily injury, violation of civil rights, harassment, illegal detainment, etc. Not to mention blocking a roadway.

  2. Spewed by the Gov, “Important step toward justice for George Floyd.” Great, super, some more of that just-us justice.

Floyd had a fatal level of fentanyl in his blood as well as a cocktail of other drugs. Didn’t I read that the coroner said had they found Floyd dead in his apartment it would have been ruled an OD?

He was complaining of not being able to breath while he was sitting in the police car, well before he was allowed to lie down in the street, a standard practice to alleviate difficult breathing(isn’t it?).

With his CHD and toxic levels of drugs, he was a dead man walking.

In the meantime this LEO was using practices out lined in training by the MPD.

I’ve been living in small towns for over 30 years to escape this diversity plague. Now the last line, the police are getting fucked over. I’m no fan of the police but combine the Fergusen Effect with near confiscation level gun control and you’ve got a perfect formula for big jumps in crime.

    And guess what? yeah

  3. And the father of the baby who died in his car last week, was charged with “child abuse neglect, or endangerment resulting in substantial bodily harm of the child”. Not manslaughter, not murder.

Now his mother is arguing against any charges against him.

He didn’t want to pay for a replaced window on his new car, but he can afford $20K bail.

  4. If Chauvin’s legal team is good, they should be able to raise a reasonable doubt about whether Chauvin’s actions caused Floyd’s death. The medical examiner’s report is not a legal verdict, but it can certainly be used in argument. Members of the jury may be worried that they will be blamed and targeted if they acquit Chauvin, however.
