Judicial Watch Files House Ethics Complaint against Maxine Waters over Incitement and Jury Intimidation

Why not? Pile on, everybody. Pile on.

Judicial Watch:

(Washington, DC) Judicial Watch today announced it filed a complaint with the chairman of the House Office of Congressional Ethics against Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) for violating House ethics rules by encouraging violence and attempting to intimidate the jury in the trial of Derek Chauvin.

The complaint argues that Rep. Maxine Waters encouraged violence by urging protestors to “get more confrontational” if Chauvin is found not guilty. She told the crowd:

Well, we’ve got to stay on the street and we’ve got to get more active, we’ve got to get more confrontational. We’ve got to make sure that they know that we mean business.

Judicial Watch notes that Waters’ statements seem to be in violation of House ethics rules that require members to conduct themselves “at all times in a manner that shall reflect creditably on the House.” more

  1. Filing complaints, putting her on TV to make her eat her words or let her double down is always a good thing. Because every time there’s a riot, her comments will be shown. The non- commie Americans are starting to notice such things.

  2. “I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard. ” (DJT 2021, and obviously worthy of impeachment for incitement)

“If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.” (Maxine W 2018 and “Well, we’ve got to stay on the street. And we’ve got to get more active. We’ve got to get more confrontational. We’ve got to make sure that they know that we mean business.” (Maxine W 4/17/21) Obviously, she is just voicing an innocent opinion and shouldn’t be held responsible. Nope, no double standard here. Move along.

Oh, and by the way, even though they got what they wanted, they are still rioting. I am shocked, stunned, amazed, astounded, dismayed. Oh wait, I meat to search for synonyms of ‘understanding’ and accidentally pulled up antonyms. Never mind.

  3. “…attempting to intimidate the jury in the trial of Derek Chauvin.”

    …”Attempting to”?

…”Succeeded in” would seem to be more accurate at this point…

  4. From this point on, when any Republican is attacked by Democrats for his or her behavior, they should stand up straight and say the following; “if you wouldn’t do anything about Maxine Waters calls for violence and intimidation then you have absolutely no ground to complain about what I did or didn’t do. So FOAD!” Any Republican should also say, “If Hunter Biden can apparently commit a felony by lying on a gun background check form and get away with it then you can’t say anything about what I might have done. So FYATHYRIO! (something about ‘and the horse you rode in on’)”

  5. Dadof4,
They are just going to find some liberal judge and make the whole thing go away, or stall until the American public with the attention span of a gnat forgets about it.
They didn’t hold her responsible for the LA riots, what makes you thing they’re going to now?

  6. Unfortunately, nothing will happen until the ox that gets gored will have to be more local — in her own district. Take my word for it, I’ve been on a job for the past week with an avowed “progressive” client (they speak freely, thinking everyone around them agrees w/them, don’t they) who wasn’t concerned about “homelessness” until a parking strip tent went up just a few doors down from her. True story. Now she is actively taking sides with a local pol who is trying to put a city charter on the ballot which would include prohibiting “camping in park and public spaces”. Now it the problem that she probably defended is a grave concern. Hey! You pays your egregious property taxes and you don’t want a homeless tent city cropping up in your neighborhood, do you?

  7. Dadof4,
They tried this back in 2018, and of course nothing happened when the racist turd was attacking Trump. I highly doubt anything is going to be done this time as well. The CONgress is just too invested in fundraising off of this, both sides of course. Nothing going to happen until people start getting killed, and even then I have my doubts.
