A California firm has rolled out what it declares is a self-piloting flying taxi that will get you from point A to point B in a straight line (so long as it doesn’t have to fly more than 100 km between charges). New Zealand was so impressed that they agreed to make their country the testing ground for the Kitty Hawk Cora. Watch
OK, I’ll play the skeptic. It isn’t bad enough we’ve got self- driving Ubers running people down on our roads. Now there’s Cora, a guided Cuisinart buzzing overhead that could drop out of the sky at any moment and make ground sirloin out of you and your loved ones in your own back yard.
I’ll take two. One as a golf cart.
Gonna need a bigger shotgun!
I would like to fly that !
Is this the flying car we was promised?
I don’t want to ride in a self-driving car, much less an airplane that’s doing it.
I count thirteen ‘motors’… not that I’m superstitious or anything…
Yep…free energy….just plug it into the wall and voila…it’s free.
No.
I like the “no emissions” part. Electricity to charge it just comes out of a socket. Awesome!
A plane that you get in but don’t get to pilot
is stupid.
