LA County ups police funding by $36 million after rise in crime

Following the disastrous results of defunding the police department, which have led to a massive surge in crime, some cities are now rethinking their efforts.

“The Metro Board of Directors on Thursday approved a $36-million increase to Metro’s five-year law enforcement contract with the Los Angeles Police Department, Long Beach Police Department and the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department to cover additional costs through Dec. 31 of this year,” reports the The Source-Metro.

    It is a taxpayer transport company; NOT THE COUNTY. It is in the county. Out west contties have Sherriffs not police. Tis government company is contracting wit 12 city’s police and the count,

    DISCLAIMER For decades I had a LB cop friend, did his taxes yearly – for a fifth. Also friends (MANY) IN LAPD and Deputies. 1 LAPD man (killed Chinamen for JFK also) tried to recrute me. Nick gave up after about 12 years. I was “pro Cop” until 5 years ago.
