An Instatgram post from last weekend declared that the middle-aged illegal immigrant from Honduras, Mirian Celaya had completed her journey to join her sister in Dallas, TX.
Celaya had been part of the caravan and had gained notoriety along the way when she complained of being offered refried beans wrapped in tortillas by local Mexicans trying to help the migrants. Dubbed, “Lady Frijoles,” Celaya declared ” The food that they’re handing out here is terrible. Refried beans? As if they were feeding the pigs. If we don’t eat this, we will die of hunger.”
Fearing for her life, Celaya tried to recant her comments when they were picked up in the Mexican press. More
