.. where in what I’m SURE is TOTALLY unrelated news, they decommissioned a 1.4 gigawatt power plant because -get this- there’s no market for it…
“company had previously announced the plant would retire no later than 2027 based on environmental regulations. The early retirement decision comes after the plant failed to secure any capacity revenues in the latest auction held in May by the grid operator, PJM.
“The Zimmer coal-fueled power plant has recently struggled economically due to its configuration, costs, and performance. The PJM capacity revenues are critical to Zimmer, and unfortunately, without them, the plant simply doesn’t make money,” said Curt Morgan, chief executive officer of Vistra.”

That’s easy, just pop a 7000 KW generator in your trunk so as you have gas you’re good to go for a few miles.
You can fix stupid with more of it.
Make it impossible to heat and cool anything larger than a glorified rabbit hutch. Tell you to eat bugs. Demand you purchase a vehicle they can “brick” at will…
While they maintain a variety 7,000 sf homes, are chauffeured around in ICE powered three ton SUVs, fly on private jets to conferences in which the topic is ultimately how to divide up the spoils…

Shutting down coal plants is one of the most insideous moves by the Left against this country. We cleaned up our coal plants decades ago, but China has not, yet somehow we are still the bad guys on the planet!

If there is energy (like coal and oil) in the ground, I guarantee that someone is going to dig it up and use it!!
If it is in OUR ground it damn well better be us!
