To set the record straight, the commercial jingle you are referring to is “I’m gonna wash that GREY right outta my hair”, which was a play on a song from the musical, “South Pacific”.

In one of the videos on youtube, the guy taking a shower looks to be a body builder or something like that, notices him after few minutes, catches him and beats him.
There is another video of two girls showering who start accusing each other of putting shampoo in their hair after he does it. Then he drops cold water on them too.
Absolutely funny.
