Le Pen tops French presidential poll

RT: National Rally leader Marine Le Pen would comfortably defeat President Emmanuel Macron if France’s 2022 presidential election were held today, a poll published on Wednesday found. Macron is currently facing a torrent of public anger over his efforts to raise the retirement age for most French workers.

The BFMTV poll found that Le Pen would emerge from a first electoral round with 31% of the vote, ahead of Macron with 23% and leftist Jean-Luc Melenchon with 18.5%. Such a result would be an eight-point improvement for the National Rally leader, who finished the first round last year with 23% to Macron’s 28%.

French presidential elections take place over two rounds if no one candidate receives more than 50% of the vote, with the top two candidates from the first round advancing. This has always been the case under the Fifth Republic, and 2022 saw Macron defeat Le Pen by 59% to 41% in the head-to-head runoff.

Today, however, Le Pen would dispatch Macron by 55% to 45%, the poll found. While Macron counted on Republican, Green, and some leftist votes to win the second round last year, far fewer of these voters would switch to backing the president today. For example, while 68% of Green candidate Yannick Jadot’s supporters voted for Macron in the second round last year, 52% would do so today. more

  1. Big Deal! The French elected Macron and so they are stuck with him until the end of term or until there is the second French Revolution and someone is lined up against the wall.

  2. The funny thing is what sent the French to riot was raising the retirement age 2 years! Here we have a criminal government so corrupt there is no bounds on the economic terrorism they practice here & abroad. Coupled with demonic gender divientcy, it’s a fucking nightmare.

Every bad thing happening in this country is the result of a stolen election. EVERYTHING. It’s all self inflicted. And we did shit about it.

At least the French who use paper ballots and count the votes locally as opposed the the easily corrupted huge vote counting facilities we have, know that they have a legitimately elected administration.

  3. MMinWA AT 1:55 PM Agree except for the last line. It’s not who votes it’s who counts the votes and it’s easily corrupted too.
Le Pen was a shoo in before they pulled that hate speech crap around 5 years ago and Macroni was installed.

  4. Elections are no longer a valid concept in Europe or north America. You vote, they decide. All a sham and no longer worthy of the slightest shred of respect. The drooling idiot they placed in our presidency last election ought demonstrate that comprehensively.

    1) Soapbox
    2) Ballot box
    3) Jury box
    4) Cartridge box.

We have passed through the first three, thanks to the democrats and RINOs, all that is left if we continue this course is number four.

  5. Having one giant vote counting locale makes it abundantly easy to slip in 100s of 1,000s of votes in a multitude of ways. When the Philadelphia County vote counting facility shut down the morning after the election in 2020, Trump was up by over 700,000 votes. An insurmountable amount with about a million ballots left to count.

What happened was close to 2 million votes were eventually tabulated and Biden “won” by 80,000. All the various fraud bullshit was pulled off because of 1 massive counting facility. It’s detailed in an excellent recounting titles The Parallel Election.

When each polling place counts their ballots, WITHOUT KNOWING WHAT IS NEEDED TO WIN, and turns in those results which are publicly posted THAT NIGHT, it’s far more difficult for vote fraud to occur. Foolproof? Well they have voter ID and paper ballots so I’m guessing Macroon is legitimate.
