  6. Doesn’t even have to be a blue state. Can be a blue city (i.e. Atlanta) with major TV markets in a fairly red state (i.e. Georgia). Out here in rural country, life goes on… in Atlanta, covid hysteria.

    Willfully ignorant is a way of life with the left. They aren’t worthy of respect on any level. Willfully ignorant is not the excuse the worthless pieces of shit sell it as. If anything it is even more condemnation. It should be self evident that when government and the media is censoring information that contradicts their narrative that their narrative is antithetical to the truth or what is in your interest.

    Lionel Trilling is one of the old school libs. He hated Stalin as much as he despised capitalism. Unlike today’s fucking zombies he was able to critically examine leftist policies and comment honestly.

    The unfortunate thing about Trilling is that he was unable to comprehend that this is not a failure to properly implement the leftist agenda, it is a feature that is hard wired into their political philosophy. The guy was not a moron, I read quite a bit of his writings in an attempt to understand what makes leftists tick, and have had that quote on the wall of my shop for decades. The thing about Trilling and his ilk is that they lived apart from reality in an insular world of like minded intellectuals and had lost any knowledge he had regarding basic human nature. That being said, back in the day leftist intellectuals were actually worth reading or listening to. Those days are behind us, what represents leftist thought these days is not worthy of anything except ridicule.
