Let Easter Ring – IOTW Report

Let Easter Ring

I am calling for people to ring bells on Easter morning at 11 for 3 minutes, from their own property, seeing how government has shut down our places of worship.  Make your own flyers and get them out there.  My 100 copies will be distributed in my rural ‘neighborhood’ over the next few days.  You can freely use mine if it works for you.

It might catch on.

Please put this up at iOTW and allow folks to download it.

  1. First I heard of this was from the lovely IOTW Claudia.
    I merely moved the ball. I urge you all to do the same. Tiny steps by thousands move mountains.

    Benito i have a big bell mounted to a tree. Sound of the bell in nantucket harbor.

    It shall ring.

  2. NOTHING can stop the eternal life saving effect of Christ’s sacrifice, resurrection and victory;

    Revelation 1:18 – “I am He that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.”

    Also, this powerful Word;

    Philippians 2: 5-11
    “5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,
    6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God,
    7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men.
    8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.
    9 Therefore, God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,
    10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,
    11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

    Yes, Ring the bells! Praise the Lord. HE is Worthy! Worship the Father, Son and The Holy Spirit.

  3. Maybe I’m a little off topic but I just finished watching the old Frank Capra movie You Can’t Take It With You on TCM from 1938 with Jimmy Stewart. Great old uplifting movie, I need more of these kinds of movies right now to take my mind off everything that’s going on that I have no control over. And the original The Taking Of Pelham 123 with Robert Shaw and Walter Matthau is on TCM at 7 PM Pac. time tonight. I don’t have any bells but the Catholic Church across the street from me does, so hopefully the Priest will ring the bells on Easter Sunday.

  4. Geoff. If everyone contacts their church and asks for bell ringing at 11 for 3 minutes that will work.

    We don’t all own bells.

    We need bells. Lots of bells. Spread
    the word.

  5. geoff – just watched that one too! Nuthin like a good oldie! No special effects, no far-fetched, unrealistic plots, not even color. Just plot & dialog!
    I don’t have any bells either, but I’m pretty sure I can find a recording of some and play them loud!
    Here’s an idea – make a recording on tape/CD or blue-tooth from your phone to the car audio and play it loudly while driving around the neighborhood.
    Hope you don’t do have muzzies in the hood…

  6. You don’t own a bell?

    Do you have a dog with a stainless steel food bowl and a wooden spoon? Pinch the rim and let it dangle vertically and give it a whack.

    You own a bell.
