Letitia James Indicted for Banking Fraud

Lindsey Halligan, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, announced today that a federal grand jury returned an indictment charging New York State Attorney General Letitia James with Bank Fraud under 18 U.S.C. Section 1344 and False Statements to a Financial Institution under 18 U.S.C. Section 1014.

“No one is above the law. The charges as alleged in this case represent intentional, criminal acts and tremendous breaches of the public’s trust,” said U.S. Attorney Halligan. “The facts and the law in this case are clear, and we will continue following them to ensure that justice is served.”

If convicted, Letitia James faces penalties including up to 30 years in prison per count, up to a $1 million fine on each count, and forfeiture. Actual sentences for federal crimes are typically less than the maximum penalties. A federal district court judge will determine any sentence after considering the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors. More

  1. I wouldn’t get too excited about this indictment, because somehow, mysteriously, this case has been assigned to a black Biden appointed judge so you know a conviction will never happen. Unfortunately black communist death democrat politicians are above the law. Only when pigs fly will the immensely obese, lesbian, Tish James get convicted. Sorry for the negativity but also somehow, mysteriously, a Biden appointed judge has been assigned to oversee that traitor Comey’s trial. Expect the same outcome of acquittal in both cases.

  2. Uncle Al,

Like Comey, she uses the RAT holes to go into and out of their courts.

Perp walks not needed for this, that would be counter productive.

What are you trying to do?

  11. Weren’t there numerous properties she ran the same fraud on. If they can’t get her in one district on false claims there are still several more they can go after.

  12. Dr.Tar: If the NY district judge dismisses her case, can she be tried again in another district or does Double Jeopardy apply? Why didn’t Bondi charge her in one of the other districts?
